Brussels Livestock report
Fed steers, heifers sell $2 higher at sale
Total receipts for Brussels
Livestock for the week ending Oct. 6
were 3,393 head of cattle, 742
lambs and goats. On Tuesday the fed
steers and heifers sold $2 higher. The
choice steers and heifers sold $90 to
$94 with sales to $99. Second cut
sold $88 to $90 with the cows selling
on a strong steady trade. The beef
veal sold on a steady market while
the holstein veal sold $5 lower.
Lambs and sheep sold on a strong
steady market. Goats sold on a very
strong trade. On Friday calves and
yearlings sold on a barely steady
trade.
There were 386 steers on offer.
