Lots of families celebrated
Thanksgiving by getting together.
Enjoying dinner on Saturday was the
family of Marilyn McDonald. They
gathered at her home, even though
Marilyn was feeling less than perky.
Hope she feels better real soon, but
having a great family pitching all in
together, Thanksgiving came off
without a hitch.
The Godkin family gathered at the
home of Ron and Lynn Godkin for
their Thanksgiving.
Jason and LeeAnn Konarski
hosted the Clarke Thanksgiving at
their home in Seaforth. Tliere were
18 present. Leona McDonald also
joined them for the day. But due to
the great weather Rick and Scott
were home farming.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.
Let's be thankful the weather is
being better for the harvest.
At the last meeting of Duff's
United Church's Sunday school the
children learned more stories of
Moses. They went on a long journey
(around the church basement) and
became very lost and thirsty, until
Moses struck a stone with his staff
and water appeared.
The children discussed the 10
commandments and practised The
Lord's Prayer.
There was a good gathering of
folks at the Thanksgiving worship
service.
Gail Clarkson's 'reflection was
entitled Thankful Trust. Dianne
McCallum was the scripture reader
and collection was taken up by Jim
McDonald and Don Baan.
Tickets are available from the
