On July 19, 2006 I began to see the healthcare system from a totally new perspective, never having been seriously ill before. Since then I have been to Clinton Hospital, undergone emergency surgery in Stratford, been in intensive care, in post operative surgical care and now, thanks to home care services, outpatient visits to my surgeon and the tender loving care of my family, I am continuing my recovery at home. I cannot thank my husband, Lawrence, enough for his loving presence every step of the way and the diligent care he is giving me. My friends have reached out with messages, cards, food, flowers and gifts that have made me feel so blessed to belong to this community. Thank you Dr. Salter and the nurses in the Clinton Hospital, Dr. Lefebvre and the nurses in the O.R., Recovery Room, Intensive Care and Post Surgical Care unit at Stratford General Hospital. To Cathy, Kara, Julie, the community nurses who are still dressing my incision and Mary, the personal support worker who helps me, I extend a heartfelt thanks for all you are doing. Most of all, I thank you, God. — Jean. 37-1 STILES The family of the late Alice Stiles would like to express their heartfelt thanks to family and friends for their kindness and support during this difficult time of loss.
