THRESHER REUNION
Vendors fill arena with crafts and treats
handmade clay pots and other
various objects made out of clay.
The craft show will be open
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8
a.m.- 6 p.m. each day.
Ann Bosman is the craft
coordinator.
There are also various craft tables
that will be set up outside the arena.
Vendors from all over Ontario are
set to show off their handi-work, and
offer knick-knacks, souvenirs and
memorabilia to take hoirne.
While taking in the events at this
years Thresher's Reunion it will be
difficult to miss the unique craft
displays laid out in the Blyth arena.
This year promises to be more
varied than ever, with over 64
vendors featuring hand made pottery
to vintage toy tractors.
Knitting, quilting and china
painting also return this year. This
She has been called Mrs. Thresher
Lady.
A mainstain of the Thresher
Reunion, Marian Hallahan of Blyth
has been involved since 1981 and
has served as secretary for almost as
long.
She is a familiar face to many,
though she admits they don't all
know her by name, just by the
aforementioned monicker.
Hallahan said it is the friendships
that she has found most rewarding
about her involvement with the
Reunion. "I meet people from all
year there are 10-12 new vendors.
All crafts have an antique heritage
theme and are handmade in the
Thresher's tradition.
Barb Storey from Winthrop will be
returning this year with her
irresistible maple syrup candy
display. She also has honey, maple
syurup and pork products for sale.
Be sure to check out the purses
over Ontario and a few from out of
the province and in the United
States. I chat with many callers from
all areas."
Those connections have been
welcome but are only part of the
rewards of the countless hours she
dedicates to the Huron Pioneer
Thresher and Hobby Association.
"It has been very rewarding to
have our club grow as it has over the
past 20-some years. When all the
campers arrive and the field is full, I
know our club is doing something
right."

area will be setting up her pottery
wheel and doing demonstrations.

and try your hand at the wheel.
