Hot meals available at arena It's hard work under the hot sun, but year after year, volunteers show how threshing was done. (Ftle photo) REUNION Continued from A8 and Sunday mornings a spark with a pancake breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Hot meals will be available in the upstairs auditorium and at concession stands on the grounds all The Thresher Reunion has been a life-long family affair for the Hal lahans. Joe Hallahan, of Blyth, has been involved with the Huron Pioneer Thresher and Hobby Association for 30 years, following in his father's footsteps. Dan Hallahan was one of the founding members of the Reunion. Being a part of this event seems, therefore, a natural thing to do. "My father was one of the founding members and this keeps his memory alive and the old history going. Also this event has been really good for the communty." weekend. Admission for the whole day is $5. Children under 12 get in for free if accompanied by an adult, otherwise admission is $1. On Friday senior citizen Joe has been a director off and on for many years. He was chairman of the camping committee for a number of years and has helped out and worked with most of the other committees. With so lengthy and strong a connection it's difficult for Hallahan to come with a favourite story or memory of the Reunion. However, he did say that it's always great to see so many faces returning year, after year, and even more exciting to see the new ones. "The Reunion has come a long way since it started with one or two admission is $3. There will be free parking available and a shuttle bus service from the parking lot to the main gate Friday 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. And Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. trailers arriving, to now over 1,100 trailers. The smell of the smoke from the steam engines and the old-time fiddle music brings people from east and west of Canada and as from as far south as Florida." Man continues family tradition
