PAGE 21. Congratulations Citizen board director Rene Richmond presents the Citizen of the Year award for the Brussels area to Phyllis Mitchell at Duff's United Church on Sunday morning. In making the presentation Richmond spoke of Mitchell's sharing of her musical talents, playing violin at church services, nursing homes and anywhere she's asked, as well as singing in the church choir. It is a passion that she has shared with several of her grandchildren, said Richmond. Mitchell is also an eager volunteer, preparing food for chtfrch suppers, delivering meals to people who are' ill, while running a successful bed and breakfast. "I've been told she has come to church with her apron on, running late, from preparing breakfast for her overnight guests," said Richmond.
