VOTER'S LIST
FOR THE
MUNICIPALITY OF MORRIS-TURNBERRY
The Voter's List for the 2006 Municipal Election, for the
Municipality of Morris-Turnberry, has been prepared as
required under the Municipal Elections Act and is available
for inspection from the 5th day of September, 2006 at the
Municipal Office for the Municipality of Morris-Turnberry, at
41342 Morris Road, during normal office hours.
Electors should examine the list to ensure that their names
and relevant information are correctly shown.
Applications for inclusions, additions or corrections to or
deletions from the list may be made by an elector completing
and filing a form obtained at the office of the Clerk during
normal office hours.
Revision to the Voter's List by electors will commence at 9:00
am on Tuesday, September 5, 2006 and the last day for filing
application by an elector on their own behalf concerning
inclusion, additions, corrections or deletions is

B. McGavin wins at Bruce plow ing match
A local teen was among the
winners at the Bruce County
Plowmen't Assocation annual
plowing match held this past week.
Brandon McGavin of Walton took
first in the under 15 years of age,
tractor class, at the match held north
of Paisley on the farm of David and
Brenda Young.
A total of 28 plowing competitors
were on hand to participate in the
various horse, antique and tractor
plowing classes.
A summary of the winners
is: horses, jointer plow, Scott
Thomas of Elmwood; tractor, under
15 years of age, Bruce County
resident, Travis Weber, Cargill;
tractor under 16 who have plowed
before, Erich Weber, Ayton; tractor,
two-furrow IPM competitors,
Carman Weppler, Clifford; tractor,
mounted three or four furrows,
Richard MacRobbie, Guelph;
tractor, open to anyone who has not
plowed before, Helen Moffat,
Drayton; antique, trail plow, Graeme
Dougherty, Caledonia; antique
mounted plows, Doug MacRobbie,
Guelph; youngest plow person,
Austin Davenport (nine), Annah;
oldest plow person, Les Darrington,
Elora; ambassador plowing class,
Katie Davenport, North Grey
Plowmen's Assocation Queen of the
Furrow; FCC media plowing
challenge class, Dawn Skinner, The
Cougar, 94.5 The Bull - CKNX
Radio; mayors, members of council,
parliament and VIP, Sam Hoath,
Municipality of South Bruce
Peninsula.
Janelle Dietrich of Mildmay was
crowned Bruce County Queen of the
Furrow. First runner-up was Alicia
Scott of Teeswater.
Bruce County Plowmen's
Association president Barry Ribey
said, "It was a great sunny day for
plowing. We were lucky to have so
many farm exhibitors on hand with
displays and demonstrations."
The banquet and awards
presentation will be Saturday, Oct.
28 at the Paisley Legion.
Police charge 3 for thefts

A tip from the public led police to
some stolen property and resulted in
charges against three people.
The OPP property crime unit
executed a search warrant on Aug.
10 at a property on Cardiff Road in
Huron East. They found a stolen

Pupils in Grade 6 see Julie Gilroy at
the front and are joined by some
Grade 7 pupils. The last classroom,
Grades 7/8 is being taught by John
Coups.
Marie Webster seems to spend far

A 31-year-old Listowel woman,

A 25-year-old Stratford man was
held for a bail hearing, charged with
two counts of possession of stolen
property over $5,000, one charge of
possession of stolen property under
$5,000 and one charge of fleeing
from police.

Radford's Farm Equipment have
decided to serve coffee. All that
joshing about being able to socialize
over coffee when picking up the
mail finally got to us. But only for
one day. We ask that everyone drop
by on Wednesday, Sept. 20 and have
a coffee and treat on us all to benefit
the Alzheimer's Society. Hope to see
you there that day.
