The Citizen, 2006-08-31, Page 7Huron Chapel women's group hosts speaker With the new school year about to begin, Sunday school at Huron Chapel will begi,n on Sept. 3. There's a class for all ages, from the nursery to adult classes where there are four electives from which to choose. On Sept. 7 at 7:30 p.m., the Women's Ministry welcomes Jodi Machan to share how God has been at work in her life. She has titled her talk, God's Fingerprints and God's Footprints. Everyone is welcome. It's another exciting year of Olympians for children, JK to Grade 6 with a kick-off evening on Wednesday, Sept. 13 at 6:30 p.m. Bring along your Hot Wheels cars to race on the fastcar track that will be set up in the gym. Parents are welcome to participate in this program opening. The community shower for Arletta Glenn was to be Monday. Aug. 28 not Thursday as reported. Remember to have the baking for the bake sale at Deanna Snell's on the evening of Sept. 8. There have been some changes in the price list so contact Vera to find out what they are. If you have the price list handed out at the community picnic, follow it, except for the individual servings which should be 50 cents. The community extends sincere sympathy to Warren Knight, Curtis and Garrett, and all the Knight families on the loss of Warren's father Ross Knight of Wingham. A farewell party was held on Sunday, Aug. 20 for Gordon and Myrtle Pengelly at the Belgrave Community Centre. Over 100 people attended. The crowd was entertained in the afternoon with music supplied by local talent. Gordon and Myrtle were presented with a picture of their farm. Everyone enjoyed a potluck supper and a time of fellowship. The Pengellys now/ reside in Exeter.
