wedding -anniversary with an
open house at the Blyth United
Church.
Marion was the daughter of Ed
and Evelyn Morrow from RR3
Brussels and William was the son of
Archie and Mary Young of Ri3.1
Blyth.
They were married at the Union
United Church in Grey Twp. on
Sept. 8, 1956. Reverend W Mensig
Thomas -of Walton officiated at the
service.
Marion's maid-of-honour was
Audrey (McCracken) Tucker. The
bridesmaids were Betty Lair and

93rd birthday, Aug. 24. She enjoyed
a family lunch celebration.

RR1 Blyth after they were married
where William farmed. Marion is a
bankteller and housewife.
William and Marion have three

Scott and Karen. They are also
grandparents to eight grandchildren.

The Friends of Blyth Library
invite everyone to their next meeting
on Thursday, Aug. 31. The meeting
gets underway at 7 p.m. in the
library, located at 392 Queen St.
They will be discussing plans for
the upcoming library book sale,
slated for Sept. 7-9.

Council supported two
recommendations. The first was
from the Municipality of North
Perth, urging the province to
provide assurance of proper funding
in the Clean Water Act, Bill 43. This
would include fair compensation to
property owners and businesses.
The second resolution was from
the Municipality of Powassan. They
requested a review of the current
lottery licensing procedures and
terms and conditions with a
particular emphasis upon the use of
proceeds.
