PAGE 3. Brody and Tanner Rickwood spent a few days with their grandparents, Larry and Myrtle Badley this past week. My apologies to Brody as I reported last week that Tanner On Saturday, Aug. 26. Marion along with her husband William Young celebrated their 50th wedding -anniversary with an open house at the Blyth United Church. Marion was the daughter of Ed and Evelyn Morrow from RR3 Brussels and William was the son of Archie and Mary Young of Ri3.1 Blyth. They were married at the Union United Church in Grey Twp. on Sept. 8, 1956. Reverend W Mensig Thomas -of Walton officiated at the service. Marion's maid-of-honour was Audrey (McCracken) Tucker. Happy birthday to Terry Daer of Barrie who celebrated his birthday on Aug. 27. Many relatives, friends and neighbours attended an open house at Blyth United Church on Saturday, Aug. 26 to help celebrate Marion and Bill Young's 50th wedding anniversary. Margaret Nesbit, Seaforth Manor, formerly of Blyth celebrated her 93rd birthday, Aug. 24. She enjoyed a family lunch celebration. BLYTH UNITED CHURCH Jean Stiles. William's best mart-was Ian Wilbee and his ushers were Roy Young and Gordon Stiles. William and Marion moved to RR1 Blyth after they were married where William farmed. Marion is a bankteller and housewife. William and Marion have three sons• and a daughter. Alan, Brian, Scott and Karen. They are also grandparents to eight grandchildren. Special guests that joined them for their anniversay celebration were two of their sons and family from Calgary. William and Marion enjoy OddFellows and Rebekah Lodges and are active members of Blyth United Church. Greeting at Blyth United Church on Sunday, Aug. 27 was Joan Clark. Guest organist was Lynda McGregor. Ushering were Lavern Clark, Lori Brooks • and Emily Phillips. The choir sang the anthem Heaven's Jubilee. Mark LeBel read the scriptures. These were Mark 30-34, 53-56, Psalm 84, read responsively and James 1: 17-27. Rev. Robin McGauley's message to the adults was The Still Point. The Friends of Blyth Library invite everyone to their next meeting on Thursday, Aug. 31. The meeting gets underway at 7 p.m. in the library, located at 392 Queen St. They will be discussing plans for the upcoming library book sale, slated for Sept. 7-9. To those who haven't visited the A bylaw to impose fees for the consumption of water for the residents of Noith Huron in Belgrave was passed by council at the Aug. 21 meeting. Fees for the Humphrey well will be $46 per month, to be billed bi- monthly. Past due accounts will be charged five percent. This came into effect Aug. 1. *** Bills and accounts totalling $193,366.06 were approved for payment. *** Economic development officer Kerri Herrfort was given permission to enrol in two on-line compulsory course- for the downtown revitalization certificate program offered through Fanshawe College. The first was from the Municipality of North Perth, urging the province to provide assurance of proper funding in the Clean Water Act, Bill 43. This would include fair compensation to property owners and businesses. The second resolution was from the Municipality of Powassan. They requested a review of the current lottery licensing procedures and terms and conditions with a particular emphasis upon the use of proceeds.
