BREMNER, Bill.
I lost my dad
He is gone forever
He has left this earth
You can probably tell
I.miss him greatly
He was with me every day
But did I know him
I sit and wonder
Who was he
Did I know my dad
Or was he just there
Did I know him
We talked often
But said little
We could be together
And say nothing, at times
We lived together
Worked together
But it seems
We spent little time together
Too busy, most of the time
I think I know him, a little
Through my family
I see glimpses of him
When I talk
Sometimes I hear him
I think I'm making my own path
In life
But when I look down
I see I'm following in foot steps
My dad is leading the way
And when I stray off the path
I know the way back
My dad never really left
When I look around
I see him
In my brothers and sisters
And our kids
He is all around
Everywhere I look
I know he is here
I miss my dad
Because
My dad was my friend.
