Summer Casuals 25 to 50'h Off
PAGE 2. THE CITIZEN, THURSDAY, JULY 20, 2006.
Well we're into full blown summer
with the heat and humidity that
makes one pause. It's hot enough to
stop and think whether it really is
necessary to do that job or for that
fact move much at all. Oh yes, it's

The fish fry crew was off to

On cooking duty were Willis

The crew has a couple of weeks
off for a well-deserved rest before

At its July 4 meeting Huron Fast
council approved expenditures of
$1,794,933.83 for the month of
June. The largest expenditures were
the second installment of taxes to the
County of Huron, to the Avon-
Maitland District School Board and
the Huron-Perth Catholic District
School Board.
The purchase of the Consitt
property for $122,386 and paying
for bridge work were additional
significant expenditures.

The Ontario government's

markets and community events did
not interfere with council's decision

assistance in pressuring the Ontario
government to rethink the decision
to impose stringent requirements on
farmers' markets.

Council also supported

that it provide adequate funds to the
municipalities and landowners for
the implementation of changes
required by the Ontario Clean Water
Act, Bill 43.

Reading The Citizen insert of all
the Grade 8 graduations last week
was a time spent in thinking about
the future. The many speeches
offered by the students gave me full
hope for our future. This group, who
are just getting started at growing
up, can put into words very deep and
true thoughts that many adults don't
even think, let alone write down and
say out loud.

already made the world a better

hit maturity knowing you have much
more to offer. Well done all of the

Thanks to George Adams, George

past you'll want to see the show Lost

young nurse I can remember
working in Listowel and hearing all
sorts of stories about the lady from

was pretty neat to watch "Vera" in

good one to see.
Swimming, reading, sitting and
