Nancy Michie Clerk-Treasurer 519-887-6137 NOTICE OF 2ND PUBLIC MEETING CONCERNING CHANGES TO A PROPOSED OFFICAL PLAN AMENDMENT AFFECTING THE MUNICIPALITY OF HURON EAST TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Huron East will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, July 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the Municipality of Huron East Council Chambers (72 Main St. Seaforth) to consider a proposed Official Plan Amendment under Section 17 of the Planning Act R.S.O. 1990, as amended. This meeting is further to a previous public meeting held on April 25, 2006 that initially considered Official Plan Amendment No. 2. The text and map amendments affect the Huron East Official Plan and are detailed below under Purpose and Effect. ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of, or in opposition to, the proposed official plan amendment. If a person or public body files a notice of appeal of a decision of the Municipality- of Huron East in respect of the proposed Plan Amendment, but does not make oral submissions at the public meeting or make written submissions to the Municipality of Huron East before the proposed Plan Amendment is adopted, the Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal. If you wish to be notified of the adoption of the proposed official plan amendment, you must make a written request to the Municipality of Huron East at the address below. With neither of the regular U-13 teams available to play in the Strawberry Summerfest soccer tournament in Lucknow this week, coach Mary Ann Drost put together a team that went on to capture the gold medal. Co-ed team wins gold in Lucknow tournament The Lucknow Kinsmen hosted a soccer tournament at their Strawberry Summerfest for the U-11 and U-13 teams, June 22 - 24. Blyth put in a co-ed U-13 team of local kids age 12 and 13 years and this talented group brought home the gold medal. The Blyth Storm met Lucknow I June 23. ,Blyth was first to score when Courtney Bos earned an assist from a throw in after the ball went outside the field and Brent Drost received the pass and booted the ball into the net. Lucknow scored a beautiful goal in the top corner of the net.- In the second half Austin Sjaarda passed the ball across the field to Matt Steele for a goal for the Storm. Steele took the penalty shot and scored the final goal of the game. The result was a 3-1 victory for Blyth. Players were up bright and early for an 8:45 a.m. game on Saturday morning. The opponents were the Seaforth Centurions. Brendon Boven made a pass .up the field in the game to Sjaarda, who passed the ball to Drost for the first By Duane Rollins Wingham Advance-Times. The provincial government has verb-ally confirmed that it will cover its portion of overage on the Belgrave water system improvement project. "I was talking to the Ministry last week," project engineer Andy McBride said. "And the Ministry verbally committed to paying." The Storm's next game was scheduled for 12:30 p.m.. Their opponents were from Listowel, but they" never showed up, so unfortunately Blyth didn't get to play, but won the game on a forfeit. Players had to wait around for the finals scheduled for 5 p.m. With no losses the Storm earned a spot in the gold medal round against Wingham on Saturday night. Drost passed the ball up the field to Johnston, who got the ball in front of the net and Ray Huether chipped the ball into the net. It was a close game at halftime with Blyth ahead by only one goal.
