AU together now
The ABCDD Gals hockey team had as much fun off the ice as on, when they donated the
proceeds from the charity hockey game against Charlottetown, P.E.I., to the cancer society.

Bill and Muriel Coultes and their
granddaughter Ellen Cook have
returned from the trip to visit
relatives in Manitoba and Northern
Ontario. They visited with Max and
Lynn Pletch at Dryden, then Ellen
visited in Deloraine, Manitoba with
her uncle Marvin Cook and cousins
for three days.
Bill and Muriel continued on and
spent three days with Bob and
Shirley Smart of Waskada,
Manitoba.
On the way home they visited with
Donald and Marlene Coultes on
Manitoulin Island and Jim and
Donalda Davis of Port Elgin.
The community extends sincere
sympathy to John and Sheila Nixon
and family on the recent loss of
Sheila's father, Harold France of
Wingham.
Sincere sympathy is extended to
Janice and Larry Robinson and
family in the death of Janice's father,
Harvey McDowell of Clinton,
formerly of Blyth.
The Brandon Cemetery Memorial
Service will be held on Sunday, July
2 at 2 p.m. at the cemetery. Please
bring your own lawn chairs.

PUBLIC MEETING
CONCERNING A NEW ZONING
BY-LAW AFFECTING THE
MUNICIPALITY OF HURON EAST
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Huron East will hold
a public meeting on-Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at 7:30pm in the Municipality of Huron East
Council Chambers (72 Main St. Seaforth) to consider a proposed Zoning By-law under Section
34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended.
This meeting is further to a previous public meeting held on April 25, 2006 that initially consid-
ered this new Zoning By-law. The text and map amendments affecting the revised draft Huron
East Zoning By-law are detailed below under Purpose and Effect.
This proposed new Comprehensive Zoning By-law repeals and replaces the Zoning By-laws for:
Village of Brussels Township of Grey Township of McKillop Town of Seaforth
Township of Tuckersmith
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation
either in support of, or in opposition to, the proposed Zoning By-law.
If a person or public body files a notice of appeal of a decision of the Municipality of Huron
East in respect of the proposed Zoning By-law, but does not make oral submissions at the public
meeting or make written submissions to the Municipality of Huron East before the proposed
Zoning By-law is adopted, the Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal.
If you wish to be notified of the adoption of the'proposed Zoning By-law Amendment, you must
make a written request to the Municipality of Huron East at the address below.

Purpose and Effect:
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the changes made to the Draft Zoning By-law since the
April 25, 2006 public meeting.
The proposed new Comprehensive Zoning By-law for the Municipality of Huron East consists
of text and maps that apply to all the lands in the Municipality. It would repeal and replace the
current Zoning By-laws for the 5 wards in Huron East.
This Zoning By-law implements the Official Plan which was adopted on July 29, 2003 by the
Municipality of Huron East. Official Plan Amendment #2, currently being considered by
Council, proposes to amend the original Official Plan.
The proposed new Zoning By-law affects all of the lands within Huron East and consists of
detailed text and key maps. The Zoning By-law consists of new General Provisions that may
apply to all zones in the Municipality in order to implement the Official Plan. Each zone section
outlines the Permitted Uses, Accessory Uses, Permitted Structures and Zone Regulations for that
zone. -
Further changes to the following key maps have been proposed: 21, 25A, 30, 33, 35A, 39, 52.
54, 55, 56, 59, 60, 65, 67
Further changes to the following text have been proposed (noted below):
Additions:
• new R1-27-h (Residential Low Density-special Holding) zone to recognize frontage
• new R1-28 (Residential Low Density-special) for internet support business
• naturalization component to public park definition
• of MTO permit reference
• of traffic provision to Home Industry definition
• of agricultural uses on the date of passing in a Natural Environment (NEI) zone
• of agricultural service and supply establishments to Industrial (II) zone
• of flea market to all commercial zones and Community Facility (CF) zone
• of accessory camping to an occasional or municipal/community event in a Community Facility
(CF) zone
• of bottle depot in all Commercial zones (except core commercial) and added to the Industrial
(I1)zone
• new provision to Highway Commercial (C3-1) zone permitting 1 dwelling unit secondary to
the main commercial use as part of the commercial building
• revised Home Occupation definition regarding maximum amount of floor area, traffic, location,
use of services, light, retail, municipal statement
• provisions to reduce setback from waste disposal site. subject to a study and a rezoning
• of 'agricultural use, limited' use to Recreational-Commercial Facility (RC3) zone (moto-cross
property) and rehabilitation to agriculture following discontinuation of use
• reduced encroachment exception in Section 3.6.2
Clarifications:
• of non-complying provisions
• of MNR role near Provincially Significant Natural Environment areas
• Development in serviced settlement areas which are not connected to full services
• that the development of 5 lots or less can occur by private services in areas that are not fully
serviced
• exclusion of new residential use added to Restricted Agriculture (AG2) zone
• lot frontage requirements for tri-plex and quadruplex in Residential Medium Density (R2) zone
• reordering Commercial zone Section numbering
• requiring information about all buildings in an AG1 zone that are within 610 metres of a pro-
posed building and/or storage facility at time of building permit application

• deletion of non-applicable provision from Extractive Resources — special (ER1-3) zone

• of requirement of commercial-scale wind energy facilities to need a zoning amendment
• of a new dwelling provision in the F,ringe Highway(C6) and Fringe Core (C2) zones
