The project involves renovations and addition to provide new infant room
and toddler room. The Project will also involve installation of new heating,
ventilating and air conditioning throughout the building. The building is
located at 239 William Street, Wingham, Ontario.
Construction must be completed by September 01, 2006.
Bidders will be allowed to tour the existing building at 4:00 PM, Thursday,
June 22, 2006. This is the only opportunity for bidders to access the facility.
Generai Contractor bidders will be required to provide the following with their
bid submission:
- A $5,000 Bid Security in the form of a Bond or Certified Cheque,
An agreement to provide a $25,000 Performance Security in the
form of a Bond, Irrevocable Letter of Credit or Certified Cheque,
- Certificate of Insurance stating minimum $2.0M general commercial
liability insurance coverage.
Bid Documents for a Stipulated Price Contract may be obtained from the
office of the Architect on June 19, 2006. Bidders fo contact the Architect
prior to picking up documents Only General Contractors will be provided
with Bid Documents at no cost.
Offers under seal will be received at the office of The Township of North
Huron located at 274 Josephine Street in Wingham, Ontario, at or before
3:0000 PM on June 29, 2006.

The celebrations took place at the
home of Jim and Karen Hallahan on
the home farm which was purchased
from the Crown for $200 in
1856.
Special guests included the bridal
party, friends, neighbours, family.
and the couple's six children: James
E., Dennis F., Maryanne, Irene,
Peter and Joe
Mary, daughter of Peter and
Matilda Hicknell was born in
McKillop Twp. Maurice, son of
Simon and Irene Hallahan was born
in East Wawanosh Twp .
The couple. married by the Rev.
John J. McConnell at St. Columban
Roman Catholic.Church, enjoyed
the wedding reception held at the
bride's home and catered by her par-
ents.
The groom's attendants were
William E. Hallahan and Francis
and Peter Hicknell. The bride's
attendants were Agnes Hicknell,
Mary Lou and Betty Hallahan, Ann
Steffler and Tony Middegaal.
Michael Hicknell was ringbearer.
After a wedding trip in Northern
Ontario, the couple resided at the
home farm Belgrave where Maurice
ran a dairy and cash crop farm.
Mary worked as a registered nurse.
Today they are semi-retired.
The couple has been active in the
community. Mary in the CWL and
4-H. and Maurice in the Knights of
Columbus, 4-H and as a farm com-
modity representative. He also
served on East Wawanosh's munici-
pal council for 10 years, retiring in
1998.
