The lifeguards are on schedule ready to supervise your group on their routine or in a private hour. The staff is ready and willing to help you with your summer plans. Sandra Cable, our student minister at the United Church, has been in Montreal on study leave for the past two weeks. In her absence a very capable crew took on the worship duties on Sunday. The Cadet Corps has finished meeting for the year and will return again in the fall. The fish fry crew was off to Mitchell United Church to feed 175 diners. Helping out at the fry were Lloyd, Mabel and Sharon Glanville, Dale Sauve and Rick McDonald. The Friday night supper of sausage and sauerkraut was enjoyed by over 40 people. This week is chicken and rice. The Branch served the funeral luncheon for the Nichol family following the cemetery service for the late Joe Nichol. Helping were Marg Bennett. Leona McDonald and Helen Dobson. Plans are underway for the cemetery decoration service to be held on June 25 at 2 p.m. The cemetery always looks its best that day and the lovely floral saddles adorning the gravestones make a very poignant impression. Please plan to attend the service of remembering for all who have departed in the past year or before. A correction in the Cadet report last week is - Cdt. Burgess is Sgt. Burgess. He told of many ways we express our dislike of another person and their thoughts. If all of us were accepting and loving of each other, no matter our visible or invisible differences the world would be a loving place. We are not the same, we are each unique and we need to learn to accept and celebrate our diversity. Skin, money, brains, sexuality, politics were all part of Jacob's great dream of accepting each other as we are. If each of us would just try to see the world from the other view. Jacob brought his own team of support, Adam, Brody and Nathan were there with their good friend. Well done fellas. Bye now, Betty G.W. Correction In the At the Branch column last week the report on the Cadet inspection did not give proper rank to one member.
