She was the beloved wife of Fred Howson. Mrs. Howson was the loving mother of Jim and Esther Continued from page 11 like? The Bible does not describe hell as a place to have a party. One of the words used to describe hell is "gehenna," which was the garbage dump outside the city. Another picture we get of hell is from the parable of the rich man and Lazarus in Luke 16. The rich man asks Lazarus for a drop of water. He is in physical anguish and wants relief. Yet relief does not come because there is a barrier between the two places. Then we hear the rich man wants Lazarus to return to warn his Howson of Bayfield, Bill and Susan Howson, Doug and Barb Howson, Bruce and Candice Howson, all of Blyth, Ann and Bob Crawford of Wingham, Mary Arthur of Goderich and Margaret and Brian Craig of St. Jacobs. She was the cherished grandmother of 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Howson was the dear sister of Velma Tavener, Hazel Taylor, Ross and Edna Orvis, Jack and Norma Orvis and Bill and Arlene Orvis. A sister, Jean Loughlean, and a brother, Ellingworth Orvis, predeceased her. Friends were received at the Blyth Visitation Centre of the Falconer Funeral Homes Ltd., 407 Queen St., Blyth on Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 brothers of that awful place. He is told they are given the law and the prophets. They are given the Bible and if they do not listen to the Bible, why would they listen to someone who returns from the dead. The picture we get of hell is of a person in physical torment. Another term used to describe hell is "utter darkness." I believe the message of this is hell being a place of not being able to see and on a deeper level of hopelessness and chaos. It is a place without direction and meaninglessness. In conclusion, talking about death and after life may not be high on our list of priorities, but it is extremely p.m. The funeral service was held at the Wingham United Church, 217 Minnie St., on Saturday, May 13 at 1 p.m. Rev. Wayne Beamer officiated. Interment was in Blyth Union Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to Gideons International, the Arthritis Society or the charity of one's choice would be greatly appreciated. Pallbearers were grandsons, Steve Howson, Rick Howson, Jeff Howson, Jason Crawford, Christopher Howson, Scott Arthur and Mike Craig. Flower bearers were Ron Howson, Sandra DeCorte, Amanda Rutledge, Dan Craig, Joel Arthur, and David Craig. important. Our time spent in after life is a lot longer than our time spent here. Friends, this needs our attention. Our afterlife is hinged on what we give our allegiance to while we are here. Do you recognize your need for a Saviour to deal with the eviction notice that we all have received? I want everyone of us to finish well. Where have you put your trust? Does God have the title to your hearts? If not, let's talk. It is not too late till we die.
