The particular incentive of District Governor, Ferne Osbourne, during her term was to acknowledge Lions for-continuous service to their Lions Clubs. The Brian Stevenson Fellowship Award is one of the greatest honours that can be bestowed in Libnism. Its purpose is to recognize outstanding achievement or involvement. Therefore on the Sunday morning of the convention, this year's guest speaker, the International Director of Lions Clubs, Beverly Roberts, presented medals and lapel pins to three deserving Lions. For his ongoing service and commitment to the Londesborough Lions Club Ron Nesbitt was the recipient of this very prestigious award. Six other proud members of the Londesborough group were on hand (actually having talked Ron into going) to witness the presentation. Not ever a high-profile person Ron is known to many Lions in the district for his quick commitment. Ron had been a Leo for some time before being installed as a Lion. The club realizes his work for the club is always first rate and that he does whatever, he can for every endeavour of his home club. The Londesborough community at large is used to seeing Ron at Lions' functions and offer their congratulations as well for receiving this award.
