Isabelle Wheeler led in the worship
service with a reading on the origin
of the carnation for Mother's Day
followed by The Beatitudes for
Mothers.
She gave a Mother's Prayer and
closed with a poem What is a
Mother. Betty Campbell led in the
singing of When Mothers of Salem
and When He Cometh.
A short business meeting followed
with Isabelle Wheeler giving the
treasurer's report. It decided to make
donations to Kids Corner, Camp
Menesetung and The Daily Bread. It
was also decided to pay half of the
camp registration for children
attending the church.
Reports were given from the
carpet committee and the stewards.

wonderful to gaze at, but last week I

was the large size, both width and

blossoms that made you gape in
wonder and appreciation.
Don't you just love spring?

Yes, it was a capacity crowd that
in fun fashion told Steve and Holly
that Brussels was offering its
support for the days ahead. The
donations of great auction items and
the folks who readily purchased
them were also another indication
that the community was united.
It was our way of saying keep up

so be extra careful in your
handwashing methods. All the fuss
about the might bes and the could
haves, concerning the super bugs
that may be around can be fairly
well controlled if every one of us
washed our hands properly.
We slack Off on the number of
times as well as the length of the
actual washing. It's probably
because it is so simple that we fail to
do it. So hum or sing or whistle your
favourite song for 15 to 20 seconds
and most of the tiny critters will go
down the drain. .
Enjoy the growth of spring and be
grateful for the farmers in our midst
for their long days and hard work.
One of our many blessings is that we
have access to healthy and plentiful
food and we need to be very aware
of the fragility of our situation.
Bye now,
