Donation
Oncology patient Abi Corbett of Brussels, second from right, recently hosted a Pampered
Chef party through her sister Tammy Patterson, right, that raised $300 towards the Wingham
and District Hospital oncology unit. The unit has been serving the Wingham area for almost
four years and is especially appreciated by cancer patients who no longer have to drive to
Kitchener or London for treatments. Corbett expresses gratitude to the people of the Brussels
area who contributed to the fundraiser. Accepting the cheque are oncology nurses Barb
Pletch. left and Linda Wahl. (Photo submitted)
Donation
Linda Bird, left and Linda Meier, right, hand over a cheque
for $6,176 to Janis Cunningham of the Canadian Cancer
Society, Huron Perth Unit. The women raised the money by
creating and selling calendars featuring a local men's
