In 1906 a group of citizens formed a company to provide a 32 room brick home to be
remodeled es a hospital. This was the first hospital in Huron County.
In 1946 the community raised funds to build an addition onto the original house.
In 1035 an additional wing was added and in 1967 a second floor was added over the 1955 wing
In 1985 the original house was removed and replaced with a modern emergency wing,
In 1907 a two year graduate nurse program was established and ran until 1934.
In 1942 a nursing assistant training program was started and remained until 1994
when the last of the hospital KM programs were transferred to community colleges.
