Congratulations. The couple married in Newfoundland while Bob was in the RCAF and then he brought Beulah home to Auburn after the war. They lived in one of the apartments in the old hotel. While in Auburn their three children were born. Bob and Beulah now reside in the - seniors apartment building in Ilderton, where their family celebrated with an open house. Bob and Shelley Worsell and Shelley's sister, Elizabeth and her husband Rod Singh, spent a few days last week in Las Vegas. While there, they took a bus trip to the Grand Canyon. What an awesome Auburn Seniors meet for lunch in Goderich The Auburn Seniors met at the Wing Hong Restaurant in Goderich on Wednesday. After lunch they met at Bill and Maxine Seers'. The speaker for the day was Daryl Ball. The topic was his recent trip to the Panama Canal. A vessel goes through the canal every five minutes. Busy spot. sight to behold. Stephanie Archambault and _Charlotte Worsell spent nine days and eight nights in Hawaii with their soccer team. They participated in the Hawaiian Challenge Cup Soccer Tournament in Waikiki. One of the opposing soccer teams was from Waterloo. The score of that game was 3-1 for Goderich. They also visited tourist sites: a pineapple plantation, Pearl Harbour and a luau and did water sports including snorkelling and surfing. The weather ranged from sunny, to cloudy and wet, but having a good time never wavered. Stephanie completed a broomball tournament just before departing on the tour. Her broomball team was the A champs for co-ed broomball for the B central- west region. Several Auburn-area relatives and friends went to Toronto on March 11 to attend the wedding of Kevin Webster, son of Allan and Karen, to Zoed Merrick of Markham. The weather could not have been more co- operative. Among the attendants was Cayden Bryant, son of Janice (Webster) and Clint Bryant of Shelburne, who carried the ring down the aisle for his uncle. Kevin and Zode will be living in Toronto. In the category of it's a small world, Kevin's grandpa, Rod McKenzie, of Goderich enjoyed making the acquaintance of the minister, Rev. Stephen Mabee. It turned out that Stephen's great-uncle was a Goderich dentist for many years and a friend of Rod's father. Kelsy Cartwright from London enjoyed an Auburn spring break holiday with her grandparents Grace and Jim Cartwright. Last week, Jim Cartwright attended an executive meeting in Forest for the Goodison — Oliver club. They are working towards the 2007 international convention which will be held in Canada for the first time. Lois Haines, her daughter and son-in-law Margaret and Ron Livermore, dropped into the Auburn Coffee Club to say hello to some of their Auburn friends. She reported that she enjoys reading the Auburn news to keep her in touch with everyone. Ron and Alice McDowell, and Wayne and Claire McDowell returned from their Caribbean cruise with reports of wonderful weather and great memories. Adam Cronin, grandson of Gerald and Carol McDowell is a member of the Blyth Bulldog PeeWee hockey team. The team won the WOHA champiOnship,- the semi-final series against Embro in OMHA and is now playing in the OMHA finals against Sunderland. Adam's cousin, Caroline McDowell attended Canada evaluation hockey camp in Port Elgin March 16. She also played in a hockey tournament in Mildmay and won player of the game award. Paige McDowell, daughter of Wayne and Claire McDowell, travelled to Hawaii to participate in a volleyball tournament. The Walkerburn Club met at the home of Vera Penfound on March 13 with eight members present. The order of the day was quilting the quilt for Breast Cancer Research. The blocks had been embroidered by club members and assembled by Mrs. Penfound. While others quilted, Mrs. Penfound led, the meeting opening with three poems. They were Helping Hand, Canada's Olympics and Things to be Thankful For. She then led in prayer, followed by The Lord's Prayer in unison. The roll call was, "What did you enjoy most about the Olympics?" Ila Cunningham gave the treasurer's report. The next meeting is at the home of Christena Gross. Dorothy Schneider will be in charge of lunch and Bernice FROM AUBURN Norman will be in charge of the program. The roll call for next meeting is a recipe for hors `d' oeuvres or beverages, with the intentions of making a cookbdok. Ila Cunningham is cutting out the blocks for a small sailboat quilt for the next project for breast cancer research. Mrs. Gross then gave several readings on maple syrup and stories by Marsha Bolton. Lunch was served by Bernice Norman and Mrs. Penfound. Members finished the afternoon by quilting. On Friday afternoon, Deanna Snell, Ila Cunningham, Dorothy Schneider and Vera Penfound finished the quilting. This is the ninth quilt the Walkerburn ladies have made for this worthy cause. Congrats Members of Brussels Skating Club received recognition at the recent awards night.
