The Auburn Women's Institute
meeting was held in the hall Feb. 16
with a good attendance.
President Erma Cartwright
welcomed everyone and opened the
meeting with the Ode and Mary
Stewart Collect 0' Canada was
sung.
The minutes were read by Tena
Empey. The treasurer's report was
given by Teresa Roetcisoender.
Laura Mae Chamney gave the card
report.
The Auburn area quilters have
donated a quilt to the cancer sale at
Stratford. Some of the WI members
helped to sew 30 baby blankets.
The planning meeting, will be
April 3 in the Auburn Hall for the WI
annual on May 29 in Auburn.
The next meeting will be March
16. This is the curator's meeting.
The roll call is name the place of
origin of your parents.
The card party for the hospitals
will be held in the Auburn Hall Feb.
23. Dessert is at 1:30 p.m.
Cards are at 2 p.m.
Bingo was enjoyed and prizes
given. After grace was sung, lunch
was served and hostess gifts were
won.

Valentine's Day was a great day to
visit with friends and neighbours at a
tea in Knox .United Church,
Belgrave, where over 30 people
wished congregation members well
as they leave, or have left the
area.
Pat Hunking welcomed everyone
and read two poems. Fred Johnston
then played for several sing-song
numbers.
Rev. Ethel Miner Clare offered
FROM AUBURN
prayer, and said grace before cake
and ice-cream were served. Those
present visited with Freda Johnston,
who has moved to Lucan; Louise
and Gordon Bosman who have
Apartments at Huronlea in
Brussels.
A card was signed for each with
the best wishes of the congregation
on them.
