The next class will be held on Jan. 26/06 from 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. A doctor's

PRIMARY-CARE CLINIC
The Wingham & District Hospital will be providing a Primary Care Clinic com-
mencing Jan. 11/06. If you are an unattached patient (you do not have a family
doctor) and you require medical assistance, PLEASE CALL 357-3703.
Due to the critical doctor shortage, the clinic will be operated on a limited basis.
BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
We are actively rec tilting family physicians and hope that this clinic meets the
immediate needs of the community we serve.
COMMUNITY/PATIENT REPRESENTATIVE
Our In-Patient Quality Council meets the first Wednesday of every month. If you

ONTARIO LABORATORY ACCREDITATION
The Wingham Laboratory has received notice from the Ontario Laboratory
Accreditation section of the Quality Management Program-Laboratory Service,
that they will be accredited before the end of April 2006. This is a huge undertak-
ing for the laboratory and they will be working diligently to achieve a 5 year
accreditation status. More information will follow in the upcoming months.

Atoms play Palmerston
The Blyth Atom Black team
played in Palmerston on Sunday.

Missionary Society held its meeting
on Monday, Jan. 9 at the home of
Alice Nicholson.
The 'Purpose was read in unison.
The meditation was on blessings.
This was followed by prayer by
Freda Scott.
Mrs. Nicholson read two
scriptures. Blest Be The Tie that
Binds was the hymn.
Mrs. Scott read a story on
blessings. It's a word used over 400
times in the Bible.
The secretary's report was given
by Margaret Siertsema and Ivy
Cloakey gave the treasurer's report.
The roll call was on resolutions or
blessings.
Mrs. Nicholson read a poem.
A jar will be placed in the church
for loose change with the money to
he used for charity.
Jan. 16 is the annual meeting in
Wingham.
Rev. Cathrine Campbell closed
with prayer and the hostess served
lunch.
The January meeting of the
Belgrave Community Club opened
with Muriel Coultes reading What
Will You Do With the New Year?
The minutes of the previous
meeting were read and it was agreed
to provide entertainment and lunch
for the birthday party on May 9 at
Huronlea in Brussels.
Happy Birthday was sung to four
women having birthdays in January.
A card was signed by everyone for
Freda Johnston, who is moving to
Lucan.
The social committee will host a
valentine shoot party on Feb. 10 at 1
p.m.

Barbara Anderson introduced Jodi
Jerome the curator of North Huron
Museum. She had on display a box
which had been in the cornerstone of
the St. Helens Presbyterian Church,
built in 1859. It contained
newspapers from local towns, bills,
receipts and pictures.
She also showed items of interest
from military history, clothing and
pictures. There usually is a story
behind all the articles brought in.
She gave out copies of the
museum newsletter which is
published four times a year.
Mary Hunter thanked her with a
gift. The meeting closed by singing._

was enjoyed.
Liberal record
Steckle referred to the Liberal
Party's record. "The Libeyal Party
paid off $70 billion and have had a
balanced budget. I am proud of our
record," he said.
Valenta said he wouldn't be able to
say until he got to to Ottawa. Serda
had no comment and Joslin said the
best plan would be to pay off the
debt like a mortgage. "How long
would it take to pay off $485
billion?" he asked.

OPP investigate area crashes
OPP responded to a two-vehicle
collision in Londesborough at
appromately 4 p.m. Jan. 11
According to police the crash
occurred at the corner of Silver and
Elizabeth Streets. A 65-year-old
Central Huron resident has been
charged with failing to yield.
