with scoring opportunities for both
teams.
The game remained scoreless to
half-time. One of the Blyth Kings
received a penalty for high sticking

second period. The Kings were able

Kitchener.
The team will be playing in an
exhibition tournament next weekend
in Humphrey, just south of Parry
Sound where they will meet three of
the top-ranked teams in the province.
Saugeen will see action against
Sudbury, Toronto and Clearview.
Another penalty was called against
the Kings when a defensive player
checked a Seaforth player into the
boards. Unfortunately, the Kings
couldn't hold off Seaforth this time
allowing them to score with only one
minute and six seconds left in the
game.
Seaforth took the 1-0 victory.
Goalkeeper Derek Logtenberg was
named man of the match for his
excellent effort in covering the net.
His many saves kept the Kings in the
game.
Blyth and Seaforth will meet again
when the Kings travel to Seaforth on
Thursday, Jan. 19, with game time at
7:30 p.m.

Brianne Wheeler made a number
of awesome saves.
