Hotel Purchased.
Mr. A. Walper, of Exeter, North,
has purchased a' line hotel in the town
of Berlin, paying therefore the sum of
$13000. Mr. Wolper purchased it
for his two .sons, Conrad and Levi,
where they evil' shortly reside. We
wish them every success, as . both are
very enterprising young men and have
ample knowledge of the hotel' business:

The Crops.
The recent rains have greatly inn-
proved the appearance of the spring
grains and root crops in this vicinity.
The fall wheat havest may be said to
be nearly finished and the crop on the
whole,, is considerably better than was
expected a month ago. Those fields or
part of the fields that were not killed
in the spring are really excellent and
will yield bouetifully, but the thinner
parts have been•badly struck with rust
:and are scarcely. worth cutting. Barley
has filled well and will be an . average
crop, Peas tuneoats never looked bet-
ter, On the whole the crop outlook in
this neighborheod at the present time
is exceedingly promising.
