Blyth United Church held its
Christmas Eve candlelight service
North Huron public works
director Ralph Campbell was
authorized at the Dec. 19 meeting to
contact all residents of the East
Wawanosh ward receiving curbside
pickup that a bag tag is required for
waste to be collected.

Council authorized the extension
of municipal water to properties on
the south end of Gypsy Lane. These
property owners shall be charged for
the extension on a fee per foot basis.

Bills and accounts totalling
$1,065,846.68 were approved for
payment.

The resolution from the Twp. of
South Algonquin with respect to the
current market value assessment
system received council's
endorsement.
***
Council also supported a
resolution from the Town of Halton
Hills regarding the efforts of the
Ombudsman of Ontario's review of
the property assessment system.
***
A resolution from the Town of
Essex requested the province to
amend the Negligence Act RSO
1990 so that only where a
municipality is found to be at leaset
50 per cent liable would a full claim
be paid..This received the support of
North Huron council.

Council endorsed a resolution
from the Twp. of Severn asking the
province to create an appropriate tax
class under the Assessment Act for
the Canadian Heritage Museum and
other similar types of non-profit
scripture readings and the singing of
carols on Dec. 25.
There was no church service on
Jan. 1.
Tom Dunbar will be conducting
the Jan. 8 service and Emily Phillips
will be conducting the Jan. 15
operatons.

Following a closed session
council authorized the sale of
property located at Plan 410, part of
park Lot 18 as RP 22R3610 to the
County of Huron subject to certain
conditions.
