he held in the village, and no doubt a
large crowd will be in attendance.

—On -Friday' last, the game of foot-
ball between Seaforth and Exeter took
place on the race course. The game
was to have taken plaee OA the agri-
eu1tural grounds, but owing to the bad
condition of the ground the former was
chosen, rfbo game was quite interest-
ing, but Exeter was no match for Sea-
forth as the Exeter club intended, but
they being -e sung, wanted to get seers
"Pointers" on the game, which we be-
lieve they did. The game was kr one
and half hours and resulted in favor of
Seaforth by seven goads to none. The
Seaforth boys are a gentlemanly lot of
fellows:, and when our slab goes to seas

society advocates is the teachings of
the Holy Bible, close friendship among

so all men. The society has also in con-
nection,orro of the cheapest beneficiary
departments to be found in our land,
the insurance of wlri.'ili., we can. safely
say is reliable and cheap, and once any
member gets cona,ected in this depart-
ment of the Sons, he will slayer care
forleavins. For a small fraetiou,one can
secure benefits to the amount of $3 per
week for thirteen weeks and $1.50 for
the next succeeding twenty-six weeks.
On the death of a member's wife, he re-
ceives for expenses $30,on the death of
any children over 5 and under 15, he
receives the sum of $7, and $75 on the
death of a rneiuber. The society is
fast gaining ground, and before long
the Sons of England will be among the
top list. The branch. here is doing ex-
-ceedingly well considering the short
time it has been started, and to -eight
Plymouth Lodge, No. 63, Exeter, :Sons
of England will meet at the Oddfellows
Hall, and will meet regularly the 1st
and 3rd Thursday evening ofeach
