Conducting the Advent Litany and lighting the candle ol )oy were Jcfl and Kim Roetci sounder. Melissa and Curtis. Rev. Cook's message this third Sunday of Advent again focused on being ready for the coming of the Messiah. The supporting scripture passage from Luke was an account of John the Baptist speaking with three sectors of peoples of his time. As he foretold the coming of Christ he suggested all of them reorder their lives in preparation. Similarly as we await the celebration of the birth of Christ. Rev. Pat suggested John’s advice applies to today’s Christians. We need to reorder our living and give thought to those who can use our help; and set an example of our lives to others by sharing and caring. Who of us could have dreamed garbage would become such an issue? That being said the premise of recycling still is the right one to choose.
