The Clinton and District Christian School held its annual Christmas concert on Dec. 12, called
Handel’s Messiah for Young Voices. The primary, junior and senior choirs sang beautifully
together and in groups. There were also solo performances by Holly Burgsma, Nikki Miedema
and Laura Salverda. Performing on the orff instrumentals are Sylvia VanDriel, Brianne Dykstra

The congregation enjoyed Knox
United Church Sunday School
Christmas concert this past week.
The children provided piano
playing, skits and sang Christmas
carols.
The congregation was provided
wilh an ornament in which they
wrote what they were thankful for
and then the ornament was placed on
the tree.
Bugsy and Snippy the clowns also
provided entertainment to the
children and the congregation.
Rev. Pat Cook talked more on the
Jessie Tree.
Sandra Popp and her girls lit this
week’s Advent candle.
Ten members attended the Bible
study group last week. They went
out for Christmas dinner in
Goderich, then proceeded to
Goderich Place.
Maureen Bean read the Christmas
story from the Bible. Christmas
carols were sung by all and the good
time was completed with tea and

Huron OPP on Dec. 14 at 2:30 a.m.
were contacted by the owner of a
local taxi business about a single
vehicle crash on Huron Road
(Hwy.#8) just went of Clinton near
Stone Road in Central Huron.
Officers arrived to find that a grey
1994 Plymouth Voyageur van had
been westbound on Huron Road
when the van left the roadway and
entered the ditch on the north side of
the road sometime with the last hour.
The van after entering the ditch
grazed one tree before striking a
second tree causing extensive front
end damage to the’van.
The driver, Reginald Watterworth,
Goderich, the only person m the
vehicle was killed on impact.
Officers have determined that one
of the factors involved in the crash
was alcohol. Huron OPP are
continuing their investigation.

meeting again until winter has
passed.
Thursday the Coffee Club held its
Christmas dinner at Stickers. Sixteen
members attended and enjoyed a
turkey and beef dinner with all the
trimmings, and delicious pies. Some
of the discussions were reminiscing
on Christmas seasons of the past.
Gifts were exchanged among the
members.
If there is anything that you want
to be put in the paper please notify
me by next Sunday. There will be a
paper next week (Dec. 24) but NO
paper/repon the following week. So
I wold like to take this opportunity to
wish everyone who reads this paper
a very Merry Christmas and a Happy
New Year.
