stop and think. Each class had the
words they could think of and made
little books about the letter T.
Later on in the week, the classes
enjoyed the story What do the
Fairies Do With All those Teeth and
created a chart to decide which was
the most popular suggestion. Both
KA and KB thought that the teeth
opportunity to act out a scene where
they could ask a friend w'hat the
problem was and then offer a
solution to the problem
The class is enjoying the new
writing centre. They are creating
countless messages for their friends
and family.

Grade I started a science unit
about matter with Miss Hill's Grade
I/2 class. They have reviewed the
live senses '['hey created a Gass
pattern book to read during
independent reading.
The class also read Zoom by
Robert .Munsch and did some
retelling activities. In art they talked
about neutral colours and painted a
picture using them. Grade I is
learning about subtraction.'They are
starting to sing songs lor Christmas.
In art in Miss Hills's Grade I/2
class made snowmen In math, they
arc learning doubles one to IO. In
language, the teacher started reading
a new chapter book called Cam
Jansen In gym. the Grade I/2
students arc doing crab walk soccer
which they enjoy very much
In chon. Grades I 2 arc singing
Christmas songs and winter songs
Miss Henry's Grade 7 class is
finishing up a math unit on data
management. Ihc class will start
measurement early next week. In
geography, the Grade 7s have |ust
completed a study of the different
landscapes such as mountains,
plains, and plateaus. They have just
finished up volleyball in gym.
Mr. Payne's tirade K class worked
with the area of a tilted square in
math. They thoroughly enjoyed Mr.
Payne miming the spelling words
this week and are looking forward to
a game of charades for drama next
week.
In French, they are learning IR
verbs and are doing a review of the
weather and of the date.
