Memories, theme at WI
Memories was the theme for the
Belgrave Women’s Institute’s
November meeting, beginning with
the readings by the president. Kay
Roberts. A Row of Bottles and
Thoughts.
After the opening exercises the
roll call was answered by each
member showing an antique item
brought from her home and telling of
its history.
The minutes of the previous
meeting and financial statement
were given by Doreen Marks. Plans
were made for a Christmas dinner
catering and dates were announced
for Blyth Festival suppers in 2004. A
Sketches of parliament
Grades 4 and 5 students from East Wawanosh Public
School were busy creating a sketch of the parliament
buildings in Ottawa and Toronto as part of a new lesson.

hangings were displayed by Mary
Hunter and Mrs. Moore. Some were
hand quilted and others done on
machine.
Several lucky people won a door
prize and the meeting closed by
singing the Grace and God Save the
Queen.
A social time was enjoyed with
