Agriculture Brussels Livestock report Choice fed steers sell on active trade Total receipts for Brussels Livestock for the week ending Dec. 17 were 3.690 head of cattle. 1,837 lambs and goats. On Tuesday the choice fed steers and heifers sold on a strong active trade while the sec- ond-cut steers and heifers sold $1 lower. Choice steers and heifers sold $77 to $82 with sales to $103.75. Second-cut steers and heifers sold $74 to $77. The cows sold at prices steady to last week. On Thursday the veal sold on an active trade with prices slightly lower than last week. The lambs sold on a strong active trade. On Friday all weights and classes of stockers sold at prices steady to last week. There were 597 steers on offer. One gold steer consigned by Amos Frey. Wallenstein, weighed 1,400 lbs. which sold for $94.75. His overall offering of fourteen steers averaged 1,453 lbs. selling for an average price of $89. Darren Johnston, Bluevale, consigned one blue steer weighing 1,260 lbs. which sold for $93. Ten limousin steers consigned by Levi M Bauman. St. Clements, averaged 1,483 lbs. selling for an average price of $87.46 with sales up to $92.75. Jayme Reid, Tiverton, con- signed three limousin steers averag- ing 1500 lbs. which sold for $87.
