Sports Brussels Tykes claim victory over Zurich adjusted themselves to come back at them. As quickly as they were down two, they had the game tied up. Wyatt Ducharme was the first to put the team on the board. Kai Hiemstra was to follow with the tie-up goal, assisted by 'mighty mouse' himself, Nathan Armstrong. The Bulls now put the first few minutes behind them and started the game a fresh. Fifteen minutes into the game, Wyatt Ducharme, with teammates Scott Baan and ArmsOiong, put Brussels' third goal in. Colton Hastings got his first goal of the season. Zurich would not go down without a fight and played a hard seventh- shift to battle past the Brussels players and land one in the net, closing the gap to only a one-goal deficit. After two assists earlier in the game, Mitchell Kellington decided it was his turn to shoot the puck • in. Dawson Peachey passed it to Kellington in the opponents' end to score his first of the game. However, Zurich came back to score. Ducharme then deked the goalie to make his third goal-of the game and bring the score to 6-3. Although half the game was over, there was still plenty of aggressiveness left to make the second half the best. Matt McNichol made all the right moves to help Kellington plant another one in the red team's end. McNichol, then had enough agility left to assist Ducharme with his fourth of the game. Kellington was not done either. He may not have got the first but he would make his mark with the last, assisted by Scott Dolmage. The final score of the game was 9- 6. Follow the puck These up-and-coming hockey stars worked hard and played their best as the Blyth Junior Tykes played Saturday morning. (Elyse DeBruyn photo) On Saturday afternoon the Brussels Tykes headed south to play their first game in the new Zurich arena against the home team. It proved to be worth the drive. Logan Clark made his first appearance between the pipes this season and was a force to be reckoned with. Missing some real team players off the bench would te,st the Tyke's agility, focus and strength with players having .to double-shift to fill the lines. In the end. determination proved to be the true strength. Parents of the Bulls bowed their heads in the first few minutes with the disappointment that this may be one of the very few games they would lose this year. Zurich took a quick lead in the first few minutes, landsliding through the defence and landing the puck in the net, making a fast two-goal lead. Tykes raised their heads. tightened their laces and Tykes win It was a bit of a romp for the Blyth Tykes when they travelled to Brussels Dec. 18. The hosts managed a goal in each of the first and second period, while Blyth tallied nine in total. The opening period was a big one for Curtis Raynard as he scored two with help from Dylan Walton and Ashley Higgins. Dustin Pennington owned the middle period, scoring a hattrick, plus one. Assists came from Dallas Coultes, Ryan Plunkett and Josh VanSoest. Raynard, with help from Conner Rodger scored the final Blyth goal for that period. Mid-way through the final period, Autumn Wightman set up the play for Walton to skate in and score. Less than a minute later, Higgins scored the last goal of the game with an assist from Rodger. I3etween the pities for Blyth was Dalton Carey. \ 4Ir entral Huron Notice of Public Meeting For an Amendment to the Central Huron Official Plan TAKE NOTICE that the Municipality of Central Huron will hold a statutory public meeting under the provisions of Section 17(15) of the Planning Act to receive input on a proposed amendment to the Central Huron Official Plan. PURPOSE AND EFFECT OF THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT Revision to the Agricultural Lot Size Policy The current minimum size of agricultural lots in Central Huron Official Plan is 30 hectares. The Municipality of Central Huron Council proposes to amend the agricultural lot size provision to permit smaller agricultural lots when the present owner purchased two or more lots of 21 hectares, and the 'arm parcels have merged. In this situation the proposed Official "Ian amendment would permit a severance to recreate the previous farm parcel, so long as each parcel has a minimum lot size of 21 hectares. This amendment applies to all lands designated Agriculturel in the West Ward (former Goderich Township) and part of the East Ward (former Hullett Township) in the Municipality of Central Huron.
