Blyth Journeys to be launched Thurs.
A new book, Blyth Journeys - A
Calendar of Musical Journeys will
be launched on Dec. 9 at Blyth
Memorial Hall with authors
Rev. Eugen Bannerman and
photographer Annette av Paul
present to talk about the book's
roots.
Featuring beautiful photos of the
landscapes of Huron and Perth
Counties, the book includes stories
inspired by the travels of Rev.
Bannerman on his regular trips
between Stratford and Blyth. This
new book is available for $15 from
the Blyth Festival.
"For each month featured in the
book, I've penned a special story to
accompany Annette's beautiful
photographs." said Bannerman.
The true joy of life is the journey,
and the music we hear along the
way.
Cenetta Bainton and her impact on
the village of Blyth inspired me to
write a special story about music and
the wonderful spirit of Cenetta, a
person known around the Blyth
Festival as Lady Blyth."
Rev. Bannerman is the minister of
Blyth United Church in Blyth and a
retired professor from Ryerson
University where he taught in the
Department of Psychology.
He is the author of Street Nantes of
Blyth.
av Paul is a resident of Stratford
and a former Swedish prima
ballerina who has performed widely
in Canada and abroad. She continues
to teach ballet in Toronto and directs
the summer dance program at the
Banff Centre.
She is the granddaughter of the
author Adolf Paul, a close friend of
composer Jean Sibelius.

The 2005 season at Huron Country

entertaining blend of romance and
magic.
Beauty and the Beast runs May 30

From the pen of Neil Simon comes
an award-winning comedy about the
family ties that bind - and
sometimes choke. Lost in Yonkers

lost as they struggle to live, learn,
and ultimately love. In doing so,
they become a family that is, finally
found. This charming, bittersweet
comedy runs July 6 - July 16.
Next up is Give My Regards To
Broadway, a salute to the great
leading men of musical theatre.
Backed by a full orchestra, David
Rogers, Canada's most
accomplished leading man, pays
tribute to such legendary performers
as Al Jolson, Howard Keel, Gordon
MacRae and more. Give My Regards
to Broadway runs July 19 - Aug. 6.
The season ends with a world
premiere production that will have
you bopping in the aisles and singing
your way out of the theatre. Twist
and Shout: The British Invasion is a
musical revue celebrating the
unmistakable sounds that forever
changed the landscape of modern

more. It runs from Aug. 10 - Sept. 3.
Next summer, the intimate
