There was a tie for second between Adam Smith and Cassie Bootzin, and Andy Overholt and Sandra Josling with the winners being Adam and Cassie. The festivities continue but it seems just a little better with a layer of the clean white snow. Yes it's good to see it land. Santa Claus parades and bazaars were still in full force last weekend as the mood of December got set. Reports of vother good Bazaar at St. Ambrose missed last week's paper but I'm sure the winners didn't care — they just enjoyed their prizes. Joyce Urban from Ethel is a little cozier with her new quilt. Trudy Upshall is ready to entertain with her winning half pig all ready for the freezer or oven. Antony Deitner has a new cherry cabinet to display his treasures and Evan Harburn has a new wall hanging of snowmen to go to Barrie. Julie Wharton was relieved to win the hour-long massage. The women's group at the church thank you for the support of their day which results in more good work being done by the church. The Blyth Festival supporters were out in fine form Sunday as they travelled to Goderich to enjoy the good acoustics in the United Church on North Street. The Festival choir was joined by their very own orchestra for a wonderful afternoon. The familiar carols were enjoyed as well as presentations by both of these talented musical groups.
