PAGE 17. 3 guests attend WI meeting Wedding, announcement FROM BELGRAVE The Belgrave Women's Institute met on Nov. t6 with the president, Kay Roberts welcoming 19 members and three guests. The Branch presidents of Huron West District will be meeting at the Hall on Nov. 22. The catering dates for the upcoming year were discussed. Doreen Marks gave the minutes of the previous meeting and the financial statement. Audrey Fenton will be the convenor for the Edgar family dinner on Saturday. Dec. 11 at 6:30 p.m. The program convenor Isabel Campbell, gave a reading Folks Like You, then introduced Kathy Bromley who told of her trip to Haiti last year. She went with a group who were doing missionary work teaching women to sew and helping in an orphanage. Haiti is about the size of Lake Huron with a population of 8.2 million. It is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere and often suffers from hurricanes and tornadoes. The water is scarce and electricity unreliable in the homes, many of- which are shacks. There are a lot of insects and lizards. The people earn money doing crafts and paintings, and appeared to IV happy although having so little. Kathy showed many items and pictures she had brought home and answered questions. Lunch was served and a social time enjoyed. Vern and Mary Heise and Ron and Trish Clarkson are pleased to announce the marriage of their children, Janice Lynn and Brett Russell. The wedding took place July 23, 2004 at the Grey Silo, Waterloo, ON. The couple is residing in Toronto where Brett is employed by TLS as a Sr. Supply Chain Specialist and Janice is doing her Masters of Education at York University. Six north schools, Brussels, East Wawanosh, Grey, Wingham, Howick and Turnberry competed.
