THE CITIZEN, THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 2004. PAGE 9
Welcome back to Joyce Marcuccio
at the Walton Inn. She's been off on
a bit of a break and she's now back
to slaving over the hot grill.
If Joyce is back then Brenda
Finlayson is now off on holidays.
She filled in while Joyce was off.

in Windsor with son Clayton and
The Ontario Early Years program
at Duff's United church, Walton has
enjoyed a fall of story fun.
They have learned about letters,
numbers, colours and shapes. They
enjoy reading all their favourite
stories. Every week, they sing,

together in a learning environ-
ment.
family. Daughter Cheryl and family
also visited at Clayton's, then
brought Marjorie home to Walton.
Leona McDonald has had an extra
visitor for a few days. A football
buddy of Neil's has arrived from
Vancouver to join the group heading
to Grey Cup in Ottawa, Neil, friend
Dave, Rick and Scott McDonald,
Jason Konarski and Steve Knight.
They left Thursday for Ottawa and
spent Friday and Saturday touring
the city, sights and "tail gate" party
venues for the Lions and Argonauts.
It was a great day on Sunday with
no rain.
The Walton foursome returned
Monday while the B.C. connection
flew home to Vancouver. They had a
great time and are a little on the tired
side.
They meet from 10 a.m. until
11:30 a.m. on Wednesday mornings
in Walton.
Classes are also held Mondays at
Brussels Library from 9:30 - 11:30
a.m. and Grey Central School on
Fridays from 9:30 - 11 a.m.
The program is for ages six
months to five years. Children must
be accompanied by a caregiver.
Our sympathies are extended to
Marjorie Humphries and family on
the passing of her sister Shirley
Carter, Wingham.
Birthdays celebrated last week
include Isobelle Shortreed, Sarah
Williamson. Derek Hoegy, Shirley

The Butterfly class at Walton
Little School has been wrapping_ up
their month-long study of zoo
animals by constructing a zoo train.
During this project children had the
opportunity to name, count and sort
different zoo animals.
The Acorn class has been talking
about Goldilocks and the Three
Bears as well as the letter B. They
also talked about patterns.
They had fun trying porridge that
they made and had fun counting and
patterning teddy grahams.
The school held its second annual
McDonald, Joan Tuchlinsky and
Nick Halley.
A few women of Duff's United
church choir provided breakfast for
about 20 clients of Investment of

raising some funds for new music
for the choir.

well done.

the Weekend. They were really
pleased with the success and the
hard work of the parent advisory
council. Monies raised go directly
