PAGE 9 Welcome back to Joyce Marcuccio at the Walton Inn. She's been off on a bit of a break and she's now back to slaving over the hot grill. If Joyce is back then Brenda Finlayson is now off on holidays. She filled in while Joyce was off. Marjorie Fraser spent a few days in Windsor with son Clayton and The Ontario Early Years program at Duff's United church, Walton has enjoyed a fall of story fun. They have learned about letters, numbers, colours and shapes. They enjoy reading all their favourite stories. Every week, they sing, dance, create crafts and play together in a learning environ- ment. family. Daughter Cheryl and family also visited at Clayton's, then brought Marjorie home to Walton. Leona McDonald has had an extra visitor for a few days. A football buddy of Neil's has arrived from Vancouver to join the group heading to Grey Cup in Ottawa, Neil, friend Dave, Rick and Scott McDonald, Jason Konarski and Steve Knight. They left Thursday for Ottawa and spent Friday and Saturday touring the city, sights and "tail gate" party venues for the Lions and Argonauts. It was a great day on Sunday with no rain. The Walton foursome returned Monday while the B.C. connection flew home to Vancouver. They had a great time and are a little on the tired side. They meet from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday mornings in Walton. Classes are also held Mondays at Brussels Library from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. and Grey Central School on Fridays from 9:30 - 11 a.m. The program is for ages six months to five years. Children must be accompanied by a caregiver. Our sympathies are extended to Marjorie Humphries and family on the passing of her sister Shirley Carter, Wingham. Birthdays celebrated last week include Isobelle Shortreed, Sarah Williamson. Derek Hoegy, Shirley Ann Boven, Fiona McDonald, Carl McCallum, Valerie Shortreed, Ian Wilbee, Faye McDonald, Donna McClure. Linda Gingerich, Linda The Butterfly class at Walton Little School has been wrapping_ up their month-long study of zoo animals by constructing a zoo train. During this project children had the opportunity to name, count and sort different zoo animals. The Acorn class has been talking about Goldilocks and the Three Bears as well as the letter B. They also talked about patterns. They had fun trying porridge that they made and had fun counting and patterning teddy grahams. The school held its second annual McDonald, Joan Tuchlinsky and Nick Halley. A few women of Duff's United church choir provided breakfast for about 20 clients of Investment of Desjardins Credit Union at the Seaforth Legion. It was their way of raising some funds for new music for the choir. Compliments abounded for a job well done. dinner, dance and silent auction on the Weekend.
