Advisory Committee
The Council of every municipality having a population of not less
than 10,000 shall establish or continue an Accessibility Advisory
Committee and the Council of every municipality having a
population of less than 10,000 may establish or continue an
Accessibility Advisory Committee.
The County of Huron has established an Accessibility Advisory
Committee (HCAAC) to advise Council in each year about the
preparation, implementation and effectiveness of its accessibility
plan.
The HCAAC is made up of 12 voting members including: 7
persons with disabilities as defined in the Ontarians with
Disabilities Act, 2001, 2 persons from professional disciplines, 1
elected official and 2 citizen representatives.
The HCAAC is supported by 5 non-voting members including:
the chair of the ODA working group, 1 person from the County
Planning Department, 1 person from the County Social Services
Department, 1 Municipal Building Official and the County Clerk
or their designate.
The County of Huron invites applications for the following
positions on the HCAAC:
• Professional Disciplines - two positions to be filled.
• Citizen Representation - two positions to be filled.
This Committee will have a total of four meetings per year.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old, Canadian citizens, and
residents of Huron County. Please submit a written application
by November 5, 2004 to:

of their first child, Hannah Grace.
She arrived on September 22, 2004
at 7:49 p.m. in Clinton Hospital.
Hannah came in at a whopping 9
lbs. 6 oz. and was 21 inches long.

a smooth transition from a family
of two to a family of three. All the
food, support, care and love is

Goderich Hospital staff for their

our home while we were away and
