and does not make oral submissions at the public meeting or make
written submissions to the Township of North Huron before the
proposed Official Plan is adopted, the Ontario Municipal-Board may

Purpose and Effect The new North Huron Official Plan is being circulated in accordance
with the Planning Act and shall affect all lands within the Township of
North Huron including:
Ward of Blyth (former Village of Blyth)
Ward of East Wawanosh (former Township of East Wawanosh)
Ward of Wingham (former Town of Wingham)
The Municipality has previously consulted with township residents and
agencies by means of a questionnaire and a consultation
meeting which was held September 28, 2004.
The policies of the new plan are very similar to the policies of the
existing Official or Secondary Plans which are currently in effect for
each ward. These existing land use plans have been consolidated
into one new plan which includes a few required updates. Minimal
change has occurred to the policies that apply to the urban areas of
Blyth and Wingham. In the agricultural area of East Wawanosh, the
only major change affects the minimum lot size of new agricultural
parcels. The minimum lot size is proposed to change from 21
hectares (52 acres) to 38 hectares (95 ccres) for new lot creation. It
is prOposed that surplus farm residence severances not be permitted.
Copies of the new land use plan and/or a summary of the changes
are available as outlined above.
