FROM WALTON
Man
injured
On Oct. 3 at 11 a.m. OPP were
called to a farm northwest of
Brussels in Huron East over a
farming accident.
The officer learned that a couple
of men were pouring cement
outdoors beside a barn just off
Nichol Line in Morris-Turnberry.
The one man had some difficulties
using a bucket attached to a skid
steer loader for transporting the
cement from the mixer to the floor
area. He decided to repair the
problem but the bucket broke free
pinning him to the skid steer frame
and left front wheel.
Firefighters had to extricate him
from the machinery and the
ambulance took him to the
Wingham and District Hospital for
medical treatment.
Ueli Ryter, 56, of Morris-
Turnberry sustained a fractured
femur and ribs, police said.
The Farm Safety Association will
continue the investigation.
