Sn orts Ironmen win 2 of 3 games in weekend hockey action By Jim Brown Wingham Advance-Times The Wingham Ironmen extended their win streak to four games on Saturday evening while Zack O'Krafka extended his goal-scoring streak to four games as well. After scoring four unanswered third-period goals last Friday evening to score a 6-3 decision over the host Hanover Barons, the Ironmen needed another strong third period effort at the North Huron- Wescast Community Complex on Saturday to claim a hard-fought 4-2 decision over the Goderich Sailors. "That was a pretty ugly win, tonight," coach Louie Livingston said following the decision over the Sailors. He said the Ironmen have only been playing one period of hockey each game and are still managing to win. "We played the same way against Hanover (on Friday) as we did tonight," said the coach. "We didn't play well." According to Livingston, the players have to learn to 'play 60 minutes of hockey; "we can't expect to just play one period of hockey and win every time." He said the Ironmen took too many penalties. Livingston said he was, 'leading by example.' adding that was good to see from the team captain and one of the team's over-agers. "We were tinkering with the lines tonight (Saturday). We may do that a bit to get the players motivated." he stated. Following a scoreless first period, Goderich took a 1-0 lead on the p )wer play as Bill Bradley scored at 15:59.
