Joan Tuchlinsky and Brian Black of Walton, joyfully announce
the marriage of their daughter Jennifer Black to Chad
Spaulding, son of Jasmin and Howard Spaulding of Waterloo.
The wedding took place on Saturday, June 5, 2004 at Trinity
United Church, Kitchener with a reception following at the
Waterloo Inn. Chad and Jennifer spent their honeymoon in the
Dominican Republic and reside in Kitchener.

WI members bring recycling tip

Auburn Seniors .Silver Tops had
lunch at Stickers. Following the
dinner they went to John and
Margaret Hildebrand's. Thirteen
members attended the meeting.
Mrs. Hildebrand opened the
meeting. The minutes of the last
Members of the Walkerburn Club
met for their September meeting at
Deanna Snell's. She opened the
meeting with a fall poem which was
followed by singing The Maple Leaf
Forever with Ila Cunningham at the
piano. Mrs. Snell then led in prayer.

Mrs. Hildebrand read apoem from
the 150th Celebration. A film was
shown about the bridge that spans
from New Brunswick to P.E.1. It is

Roll call was answered with the
payment of dues. There will be a
meeting on Oct. 19 at Jacquie
McKee's with Mrs. Archambault
providing the program and Ethel
Ball the lunch. Roll call at the next
meeting will be a donation of a prize

Hall.

Plans begin for club's 85th anniversary

lunch at Stickers
Auburn's Women's Institute held
its meeting on Sept. 16 at the
Auburn Hall. Marg Fraser opened
the meeting with the Opening Ode,
Mary Stewart Collect and 0
Canada.
The minutes of the last meeting
were read by Tena Empey.
The card report was given by
Laura May Chamney. The roll call
was to bring a recycling tip.
The PRO Jean Plaetzer introduced
Lois Elliot as a speaker. She spoke
on the ROSE program and gave a
report on the updates to the institute.
After the presentation the
members enjoyed several games of
bingo.
The Institute Grace was said.
Lunch was provided by Mrs.
Chamney and Janis Vodden.
Upcoming events are: a rally at
the Gorrie United Church. Sept. 27
(Lug a Mug); Wingham Maitland
Institute invitation Sept. 28. Auburn
The Terry Fox Run in Clinton had
Mr. Weatherman on its side. Sunny
weather but no humidity helped
make the run a success.
About $6,800 was raised with
approximately 100 people running,
walking or biking the 10 km. route.
Keep up the good work Gayle
Fraser. Larry put in lots of hours and
hard work.
Remember the Terry Fox Run in
2005 will represent the 25th
anniversary of Terry Fox's initial
run. Let's make next year a larger
success than this year.
Laura May Chamney won a
trophy for the best-restored antique
car at the Thresher Reunion with her
1956 Mercury Phaeton four-door
hardtop.
Auburn Horticultural Society is
holding a meeting on Tuesday, Sept.
28 at 7:30 p.m. Lunch will be
provided. There is going to be a
speaker from Goderich on how to
feed and care for birds over the
winter.
Last weekend Sept. 11 a number
of dart players from the area John
and Heather Verwey, Audrey
Patterson, Deb Verwey, Andy
Lubbers, Denise Caza and Elaine
Fraser competed in the rock and roll
dart tournament in Strathroy. John
and Heather Verwey won the mixed
doubles division. Heather Verwey
was joint third in the ladies singles.

Andre Carmen won the blind draw
doubles division.
Dart season has started for
another year with several dart
players going to the Kitchener-
Waterloo League again this year.

Oct. 5. The next meeting is on Oct.
21 with Joanne Todd as guest
