On-Aug, 31 Mildred Ament took
part in the open installation of the
Grand Chapter officers of the Order
of the Eastern Star of Ontario held in
Toronto. Mildred has been a faithful
member of the OES for 47 years.

in unison and the Prayer of

Pardon.
The children's hymn Jesus Friend
of Little Children was sung.
The children's story was, What
makes a Church? In order to have a
church you must have people and
people make a church.
Paul Elgie favoured the
congregation with the medley of
gospel songs. The Responsive Psalm
142 was led by Mr. Elgie.
The epistle reading 1
Thessalonians 1: 1-5, 5: 16-24 and
the hymn, 0 Master Let Me Walk
with Thee was sung. Mrs. Elgie's
message to the adults was. The
Ultimate Friendship. She spoke on
the qualities of friendship and that
God wants to be our best friend.

workshop from the Canadian Red

RespectEd, will be held on Oct. 12
at the same location. It runs from 10

everything from vegetables and
fruit to baked goods, maple syrup
and honey, jams and jellies, frozen
pork products and some crafts.
From 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Oct. 27,
a workshop called Beyond the Hurt,
which focuses on issues
surrounding bullying and
harassment, will also take place at
the Woodstock-Oxford branch.
This workshop is part also of the
RespectEd program.
The fourth workshop is called
project management and will be
held on Oct. 28. It will take place at
the same location and will run from
9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
