Brussels Livestock report
Cows trade at steady prices last week
Total receipts for Brussels
Livestock for the week ending July
9 were 2,288 head of cattle, 1,074
lambs and goats. On Tuesday the fed
steers and heifers sold at prices $1 ro
$2 higher. Fancy and double-muscle-
steers and heifers sold $85 to $92
with sales up to $97. Choice steers
and heifers sold $78 to $85 and sec-
ond-cut steers and heifers sold $72
to $77. The cows traded at prices
steady to last week. On Thursday the
veal sold on a strong active trade at
prices $5 to $10 higher. The lambs
sold on a steady market. On Friday
all weights and classes of stockers
sold on a strong active trade.
There were 401 steers on offer.
Enoch Martin, Linwood, consigned
one limousin steer weighing 1.275
lbs. which sold to Norwich Packers
of $97. His overall offering of thir-
teen steers averaged 1,278 lbs. sell-
ing for an average price of $88.94. -
Two steers consigned by Hugh
Love, Atwood, averaged 1,460 lbs.
selling for an average price of
$88.08 with his top limousin steer
weighing 1,475 lbs. selling for
$95.75. Aaron M. Martin,
Dobbinton, consigned three limou-
sin steers averaging 1,403 lbs. which
sold to Holly Park Meat Packers for
$86.25. His overall offering of six
steers averaged 1,402 lbs. selling for
an average price of $82.96.
One black steer consigned by
Brian and Bill Dallner, Atwood,
weighed 1.315 lbs. which sold for
$90.75. Their overall offering of two
steers averaged 1,335 lbs. selling for
an average price of $82.76. Simeon

two steers averaging 1,235 lbs.
