Festival fans, community invited to
30th anniversary party July 24-25
have made the festival successful special event when Artistic Director
over all those years will also be on
hard for the celebration.
The party will spill out of the court
yard onto nearby streets. Proceeds
from the event will go to support the
new rescue training centre being
built by members of the Blyth and
District Fire Department.
The party will follow a special
concert by the Blyth Festival Singers
in the theatre at 2 p.m. The choir will
present traditional maritime music
and will feature special musical
guests. The Singers are among a

celebration will be the "Bonanza
Weekend" of July 24 and 25.
Among the various events that
weekend will be a community
birthday party on Sunday, July 25 at
4:30 p.m. in the Courtyard of Blyth
Memorial Community Hall, the
building that houses the theatre.
A beef-on-a-bun dinner with
salads and a birthday cake will be the
centre-piece of the party but there
will also be buskers. face painters
and mime artists.

members of this year's company and
returning members of companies
