The Brewers were saddened last

Our condolences to the Smith

Joan estimated her time to walk
would be 30 minutes and she took 30
minutes and 17 seconds giving her a
fourth-place finish. The first-place
finisher was a 79-year-old woman
who missed her predicted time by
only three seconds.

The Walton Little School Butterfly
class has spent the month of May
being creative with nursery rhymes.
The Butterflies have made mice to
run up clocks, stars to twinkle in
their room, spiders to scare Miss
Muffet and even helped put Humpty
together again.
They look forward to
Transportation Month in June.
The Acorns have finished up their
unit on dinosaurs. They enjoyed
going on a dinosaur egg hunt and
making their own dinosaur eggs out
of hard-boiled eggs. A few Acorns
wondered if a real dinosaur would
hatch out of their eggs.
Clothing is their new topic. They
have a clothing centre/store with a
stage for fashion shows. Clothing
from around the world will be
shown as well. The Cat in the Hat
and Smelly Socks are story books
being read about clothes.
Better weather will let them enjoy
their summer clothes and be outside
more.

FROM WALTON
Numbers
big fun
for Early
Years
The Walton Early Years Group
has had small numbers but big fun.
The children have enjoyed painting
up a storm and so did their
caregivers.
They hid animals in rice, then
sorted them by colour.
Emma Taylor practised counting
with the flower garden counting set
and Caden Lee practised his gross
motor skills, such as galloping,
skipping and running. They enjoyed
the parachute and sleeping animal
game.
Emma Taylor won a book draw
for completing a site survey. It
appears from the surveys that Duff's
United Church rates very highly.
