who celebrated his 65th birthday on
June 5.
Happy birthday to Jim Howson,
Larry Walsh and John Elliott all of
Blyth who celebrate this next week.
Also Audrey Walsh celebrates her
offered and told of new ones,
archery, music, drama and dance.
Each person brought items for
the camp.
The UCW will take over the
adopt-a-cabin.
The next meeting is Sept. 23 at 2
p.m.

Jamie Craig of Atwood spent
Saturday night and Sunday with his
grandparents Don and Marilyn
Craig. He attended the church
service at Camp Menesetung.
Blyth United Church held its
church service on June 6 at Camp
Menesetung. Guest musician was
Margaret Kai. The younger children
of Karen Glousher and Deb
Hakkers' classes marched to the
front of the Camp Chapel playing
rhythm band instruments. Lorna
Fraser, Sunday school
superintendent, welcomed everyone
to the camp. Jonathan Hakkers,
Wyatt Bearss and Cody Ducharme
took part in the assurance of pardon.
The Sunday school choir, led by
011ie Craig sang, He'll Be Comin'
Down from Heaven and Magic
Penny. They were joined by the
senior choir in singing, Mine Eyes
Have Seen the Glory.
The children's hymn, Tell Me the
Stories of Jesus, was sung as the
children gathered at the front of the
church. Karen Glousher gave all the
children a straw and a cotton ball.
She asked them to pretend the cotton
balls were sheep and to blow
through the straw and gather the
sheep to one place. Karen told the
children it was not easy being a
shepherd and gathering the sheep
into one place.
She then told the story of the 100
sheep and how Jesus was missing
one sheep and went out to look for it.
Judy Gleave introduced the
participants, Jessica Sparling
reading the Gospel from Acts 9: 36-
43, Amelia Carter-Brown read the
lectionary reading John 10: 23-30
and Brandilyn Bearss read the the
responsive 23rd Psalm.
The hymn For the Beauty of the
Earth was sung. Lorna Fraser told

the announcements and Deb
Hakkers gave an updated report on
Yasmany, the Sunday school's
adopted child from South America.
Lorna gave out the awards to the
Sunday school children and
teachers.
The last hymn How Great Thou
Art was followed by the
Benediction.
After the service a potluck lunch
was enjoyed by everyone. The
children then played games.
