COMMUNITY FORUM
A Community Forum will be held on June 17, 2004, following the Wingham & District Hospital
Annual Meeting at 7:00 p.m. in the Knights of Columbus Lounge, Wescast Complex.
DIABETES EDUCATION DAY
The next class will be held on June 24th from 8:45 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. A doctor's referral is required.

CHOLESTEROL EDUCATION DAY

The Auxiliary to the Wingham & District Hospital will be meeting on June 28, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. in
the Terrace Room.
VISITING POLICY
Visits from family members or dose friends is an important part of any patents stay in hospital. Please
remember that this is also a privilege and the hospital requires your co-operation with the following:
Visiting Hours: 2:00 • 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Two visitors per patient at a time.
Wash hands with antiseptic hand wash when entering and leaving the hospital. Also, if you assist with
patient care, wash hands before and after doing so.
PIPasca do not visit if you are feeling unwell.
It is acknowledged that exceptions to these guidelines may be required to accommodate the unique
needs of special patent groups, specifically those who are critically ill, palliative patients, children and
women in labour.

play on Wednesday, May 19.

On Wednesday, May 26 there
were seven tables of euchre in play
at the Women's Institute Hall.'

Sunday morning, May 30 was a
day of celebration at Knox United
Church, Belgrave as many family
and friends gathered for the
confirmation of eight young people.
The young people took part in the
service by leading in a litany for
Pentecost. The scripture was written
in the form of a radio interview on
Pentecost. the Coming of the Holy
Spirit, and by serving communion.

Life's positive
side, theme of
UCW meeting
The May meeting of the afternoon
unit of the Belgrave UCW met in the
United Church basement with seven
members and four guests present.
President, Kay Roberts opened the
meeting with a poem entitled The
Positive Side of Life.
Lois Chamney was in charge of the
worship which was entitled Rooted
and Built Up.
The guest speaker was Rev. Ethel
Miner Clare who showed slides and
spoke on her trip to Africa.

confirmation of the Stevensons' son

Barbara Anderson, captain of the
Cancer Society canvassers for
Belgrave and area reports that a total
of $3,720 was collected this April for
the work of the Canadian Cancer
Society. The success of the campaign
in the area is due to the I8 willing
canvassers and all who generously
donated.
