He was true to his word, he explained everything, was calm. made me laugh. and got my computer working. After three days and hours on the phone, my computer was fine and 1 was in a great mood. It is impossible to know the impact we have on one another. Keith didn't just get my computer working. he restored my faith in humanity and made my day. His sense of humour and understanding brought my frazzled nerves under control and lifted my spirits. He didn't have to be as calm and patient as he was, but it changed the course of my week. In whatever we do, we have the opportunity to be that person to someone else. There is a saying that goes, "We may be the only Bible our neighbour reads." Our actions and reactions have the chance to impact our friends and neighbours. Hopefully, we will live out all the grace, love, and compassion that we are able. Blessings. Actions By Rev. Theresa McDonald-Lee Knox Presbyterian Churches Monkton and Cranbrook Dear brothers and sisters in Christ. A couple of weeks ago my computer ‘was infected by the Sasser worm. a type of computer virus. It made the global headlines as ferries in Britain. the Canadian coast guard. and Spanish police were all infected with the virus. Eventually a German teenager was charged with starting this virus. Normally, I do not pay any attention to computer news as I am not that technologically savvy. This time, I paid a lot of attention! It started slowly; deleting files I was working on, not allowing me to use the Internet. and telling me that my printer was not hooked up properly. It did not take long before I could not do anything on my computer all. Before this happened, I had not realized how much 1 need the computer to do my job. It was a Greeting at Melville Presbyterian church last Sunday morning were Dave and Janet McCutcheon. In celebration of Pentecost Sunday. Rev. Cathrine Campbell led the Call to Worship after which the congregation sang the hymn, 0 Spirit of the Living God accompanied by organist Crystal McLellan. Two anthems were performed by the junior choir, It's Time to Praise the Lord, and 1 Heard About, with the accompaniment of their choir director Mary Douma. Rev, Campbell announced that this would be their last musical contribution until after holidays, and thanked the choir members and Mrs. Douma for their efforts this year. - Psalm 104: 24 - 35 was read responsively. When the children were gathered at the front, Rev. Cathrine asked them to choose certain pages of their hymn book, then read these passages together. It was a jumble of words. "That's why we have to have a choir director," said Rev. Campbell. "And the job of the choir members is to listen to the music and follow the direction of their choir director". Then she told the children that it was like their relationship with God in that they listen for his voice and follow the instructions that he has given them for living with others in peace and harmony and with love. The scripture lesson of Genesis I1: I - 9; Acts 2: I - 21; John 14:1 - 21 was read by Rev. Campbell with reader Gerald Gibson assisting. In the sermon, A Tale of Two Cities, Rev. Campbell first described Babylon, formerly Babel, that ancient grand and glorious city of magnificent buildings. history. and highly skilled people who were difficult couple of days trying to get everything back to normal. I spent days on the phone with the computer help line. 1 must have talked to eight different technicians all of them telling me to do different things. One would tell me how to delete the virus, another would explain how to reboot the computer. and another would attempt to help me reinstall my programs. One technician would say that the last one did not tell me how to do something properly and then try to tell me how to start over again. I was frustrated to the point of tears when I was disconnected from a technician who had just tried some new things.. I thought my computer would never work properly ever again. I called the help line again — certain of despair. As I began talking to Keith, I was trying to explain everything that had went wrong. lie stopped me and said.
