May 20 for the track and field events at Hullett Central Public School. First and second-place winners in each group will compete at the regional meet in Seaforth on June 3 or the rain date June 4. Congratulations to all the pupils who participated that day and to those who will represent Hullett at Seaforth. The Londesborough Happy Gang Seniors began their day together on Wednesday, May 26 at 10:30 a.m.. at the Londesborough Community Hall. They conducted matters of business until noon when they enjoyed a potluck meal. The seniors agreed to donate a prize for history and one for French to this year's Grade 8 graduating class. Two Happy Gang members with grandchildren in the class will be this year's presenters, Phyllis Tyndall and Betty Hulley. The Happy Gang Seniors will entertain at Huronlea's monthly Gloria Wilbee conducted the Sunday service at Londesborough United Church on May 30. An accomplished singer. Mrs. Wilbee offered ministry of music as well, offering I've Got the Joy and Though I May Speak. Mrs. Wilbee's message was titled, Lighting the Way. She chose the Old Testament passage, Genesis 11: 1-9, the story of the Tower of Babel. Psalm 104, which speaks of God's wondrous deeds was the morning's responsive psalm. The New Testament scripture passage Acts 2: 1-21 is the story of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit filled the followers with different languages and sent them out to all areas of the world to teach of God's love. The Londesborough group met at a changed time on May 26 as they had been invited to spend the afternoon with other guests of the Londesborough United will observe the sacrament of holy communion and offer confirmation to a number of young folk. Jack Snell was taken to Clinton hospital on Friday in some distress but his stay is not expected to be lengthy. _However both he and Marion still require much nursing care at home. For many weeks now Darlene Vincent has been a regular patient at Clinton Hospital as she continues to struggle with cancer pain. Blyth seniors group. Arlyn Montgomery gave an informative talk on genealogy. A demonstration of tai chi was also part of the entertainment that afternoon. Euchre and lost heir were played during a social time then everyone enjoyed dessert.
